In love with fresh greens and herbs? So are we! With this post we give you 5 fresh and exciting breakfast ideas for you to try out at home. Naturally, they are all filled with vitamins, nutrition and flavour to kick your day off on a great note.

Oatmeal with strawberry and basil

Oatmeal is a healthy and nourishing breakfast favourite in many homes and offers warmth on a cold winter morning. With this easy recipe, you can quickly spice up your oatmeal with fruit, flavour and fresh herbs.

Here’s how you do it

Start out by boiling up milk or water and add your oatmeal as per usual. Blend a handful of strawberries with a squeeze of lemon juice and some freshly chopped basil leaves. When the liquid has been absorbed by the oatmeal, add in the strawberry mixture, basil and a pinch of salt, and stir to let the flavour work its magic. Once the oatmeal has the right texture, pour it into a bowl, add a squeeze of milk, some extra sliced strawberries and other preferred toppings. Top it all off with some fresh basil leaves for the final visual touch.
