How to make your own herb tea 

Tea brewed on fresh herbs contains lots of vitamins and antioxidants, and is thus an easy way to nurture your body with the healing properties of nature. And what is more rewarding than a homebrewed tea? It is easy, cheap and entirely free of chemicals and additives.  

Tea can be brewed in endless ways. First step, however, is to decide which herbs and ingredients you want to use. Most herbs taste great in tea – the only limit is your own imagination! 

Simply put your fresh herbs directly in your teacup or coffee press and wait for five to ten minutes. Below, we have gathered a delicious handful of our favourite recipes. Enjoy!


Soothing thyme and lemon tea 

Herb tea with thyme and lemon is a lovely, soothing tea filled with antioxidants. In addition, thyme contains a disinfectant substance making the tea a great means to fight cold and cough.   

What you need: 

  • Fresh thyme 
  • Organic lemon slices  
  • Boiling water 
  • Honey to taste

Relaxing herb tea with basil and lemon balm 

With their many medical benefits, basil and lemon balm are great for the immune system, against stress and headaches and much more. So kick back and relax with a homemade tea brewed on these wonderful herbs! 

What you need: 

  • Fresh basil (or lavender after preference) 
  • Fresh lemon balm 
  • Boiling water 
  • (Camomile flowers)

Energy boost with rosemary and lemon tea 

Rosemary increases circulation, offers great energy and then it tastes and smells amazing! Also, research has hinted that rosemary tea might have a preventive effect on cancer. So strengthen both your body and mind with a homemade rosemary and lemon tea! 

What you need: 

  • Finely chopped rosemary
  • Finely grated lemon zest
  • Boiling water
  • Honey or sugar to taste
